Allen,
denen ich noch nicht persönlich gedankt habe, möchte ich
auf diesem Wege für die netten Wünsche und Grüße
danken!
Ich wünsche allen ein brilliantes 2008!
Der Beginn eines neuen Jahres ist immer auch die Zeit der neuen
Vorhaben und Vorsätze. Nach reiflicher Überlegung bin
ich zu dem Schluß gekommen: 10 Jahre sind genug!
Nach der DruckKunst im September 2008 werde ich die Arbeit am Netzwerk-Druckgrafik
beenden.
Die Organisation des Netzwerks hat viele nette Kontakte zur Folge
und liefert viele interessante Informationen. Aber Ausstellungen
und Stipendien bekomme ich oft nicht, weil man wohl annimmt, dass
es komisch aussieht, wenn man jemanden mit so einer Organisation
im Nacken einjuriert - Begründungen dieser Art gab es mehr
oder weniger offen.
Dank für die ganze Arbeit gibt es sehr selten, dafür hagelt
es, nicht immer höfliche, Beschwerden, sobald eine Anzeige
nicht sofort geschaltet wird.
Eine Handvoll Leute überweist den Mitgliedsbeitrag jährlich.
Alle anderen sehen diesen wohl als Einmalzahlung an. Ich habe aber
keine Lust da hinterher zu laufen. Deshalb haben wir für die
Finanzierung der DruckKunst nur ein sehr geringes Eigenkapital.
Es hat sich in 10 Jahren niemand gefunden, der/die die Übersetzungen
oder das Contentmanagemant der Homepage macht und das beides zusammen
ist doch viel Arbeit. Dazu kommen die jährlichen Spendenquittungen
und die Organisation der DruckKunst.
Kommerzialisieren möchte ich das Ganze nicht, weil dies meiner
Intention und politischen Überzeugung widerspricht und mir
ja auch nicht mehr Zeit verschafft.
Mir ist das alles zu anstrengend geworden. Mit Kind, Fulltimejob
und Kunst muß ich Prioritäten setzen. Ich möchte
gern mal an meine Kunst denken und mich um diese kümmern.
Da ich nicht annehme, dass sich nun doch noch plötzlich jemand
findet, der sich diesen Klotz ans Bein bindet, habe ich folgenden
Vorschlag:
Den nächsten Newsletter (Februar 2008) veröffentliche
ich mit allen Adressen sichtbar. Dann kann sich jeder von Euch alle
Adressen speichern und individuell bei Bedarf seine News an alle
verschicken. Wer dies nicht möchte, sende mir bitte bis zum
1.2.2008 eine Nachricht, damit ich ihn/ sie aus der sichtbaren Adressenliste
rausnehmen kann.

If
I did it already personal to you, I would like to say thank you
for all the wishes and greetings for the new year! I wish a brilliant
2008 to everybody!
The begin of a new year is always the time of making plans. After
due consideration I decided: 10 years are enough!
After PrintArt 2008 I am going to finish my work for Printmaking
Network.
The organisation of the network causes nice contacts and interessting
information. But exhibitions and schoolarships are often refused
to me. Probably it seems to be curious, if someone with such a big
organisation will be choosen for an exhibition.
Rarly someone says thank you for all the work. Often there are complainings,
if an advertisement is not issued directly.
A handful of people pays the membership fee yearly. All the other
paid once. So there will not be much money for organisation of PrintArt
2008. I do not want to run after it.
In 10 years there was nobody to support me e.g. for translation
or contentmanagement of the homepage. All together is much work.
Plus yearly donation receipts and organisation of PrintArt.
I do not want to commercialize the network. This does not accord
to my political opinion and it was not the intention of the network
and it would not bring more time to me.
With little child, fulltimejob, my own fine arts and studio, it
makes to much afford to me.
I do not think, that someone will like to have this millstone around
his neck, so here is a proposal:
The next newsletter (February 208) I will issue with all addresses
viewable. After that everybody of you is able to save the addresses
and send your information individual to all. Who does not want this,
please send an email to me before 1.2.2008, than I will remove you
from the viewable address list.
